Quick & Easy Garlic Spiced Tofu for Protection

Tofu is so versatile and delicious any time of day; breakfast, lunch, or dinner. This garlic spiced tofu recipe is just the thing you need to add to your meal prep rotation for the week.Β 

You could have this tofu in a rice or noodle bowl, on a salad, on a sandwich or in wraps. Garlic Spiced Tofu: Main Magical Properties

Tofu (Soybeans) – spirituality, psychic ability, strength, protection

Garlic – cleansing, health, wards negativity, protection

And Now The Garlic Spiced Tofu Recipe!

Makes 4 servings | Time: 20 minutesΒ 

Ingredients:

  • 280 gram block of extra firm tofu
  • 3 green onions
  • 3 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • black pepper to taste

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Preparation:

  1. 1. Toss your tofu in 1 tbsp olive oil, onion powder, black pepper, and cornstarch. Set aside.

    2. Preheat a non-stick pan with your 1 tsp olive oil and minced garlic. Saute for 1 minute and then add in your tofu mixture. Sauté stirring frequently until tofu is slightly brown and crispy.

    3. While tofu is sautéing, mix up your sauce. Add all ingredients into a bowl and whisk well.

    4. Once the tofu is ready stir in your sauce. Simmer for 4 – 6 minutes allowing sauce to thicken. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

    5. Prior to eating you may state the following, ‘May this tofu bring wealth to my life in new and unexpected ways.’

    Serve with rice and veggies, on top of a salad, or in a wrap. Leftovers may be stored in the fridge for 3 days.

    This sounds absolutely delicious! I am only finally getting into the habit of keeping tofu on hand, and have few recipes so far, but I look forward to trying this!
    As a fairly recent retiree, I have been gradually making changes in my life, including making up to my inner witch again after setting her aside almost 50 years ago.
    While I am not vegan (yet) I have been making plant based the majority of my diet – sneaking up on it you might say, so learning to make good use of tofu is high on my list of things to learn.
    My air fryer – a gift I couldn’t have afforded on my own (SSI doesn’t leave much financial wiggle room) – has been my go-to for crispy tofu cubes with various sauces. Time to get a little more hands on I guess πŸ™‚
    I hope your birthday is/was a joyous moment, properly celebrated! I’m coming up on 69 in a few weeks (tail end of Gemini) and I also have decisions to make, but I am refusing to be despondent!
