Simple and Effective Herb Sachets for Protection

Comments Off on Simple and Effective Herb Sachets for Protection

We all want to feel protected, both in the physical realm and within our own energetic realm. Herb sachets are a wonderful tool for a witch to utilize when they require a little extra help in these areas.

Herb sachets are easy to put together and can be made for a plethora of reasons from success, to prosperity, to strength, and yes, protection too.

Sachets are great for carrying on your person, placing around your home, or keeping in your car. Versatile, magical pouches of perfection. These are truly a wonderful and practical resource for any witch at any level from beginner to advanced to add into their magical practice. Always easy to put together and they can be done with literally any intention you have in mind.

How to Craft an Herb Sachet

To craft an herb sachet you really only need a work space, appropriate herbs, a sachet to put them in, and your intention of course.

Begin by gathering your materials and choosing your workspace. Be sure to pick somewhere you feel relaxed and comfortable. This could be at your altar, or any other peaceful place in your home or garden. I personally choose to do most of my work with herbs in the kitchen as it is practical and makes for easy clean-up.

Take a moment to clear your mind and focus on your current goal. You can now begin to fill your sachet. Add each herb one by one into the pouch, tie it up and recite the following three times:

‘Herbs of the earth protect me well. Lend me your energy with this spell.’

Take a moment to hold your pouch in both hands, close your eyes and begin to visualize and feel the herbs energy surrounding your home or flowing through you working their protective magic. When you feel ready you may open your eyes. Your sachet is complete and ready to be placed in its new home.

Herb Sachet – Tips to Consider

When you receive new herbs or pick them from your garden it is a good idea to perform a small blessing or enchantment on the herbs prior to using. You can even imbue a specific purpose onto the herb if you already have one in mind for it.

If you would like to add a little more magical ambience to your crafting consider putting on a witchy playlist while you work, adding a candle to your space, burning incense, or adding a little extra touch into your pouch like a crystal or drop of essential oil. I’ve included a list of protective ingredients below that you may consider using.

Feel free to craft as many of these as you would like and play around with ingredients until the mixture feels right for you. This is your magic after all and should be personalized to your own practice.
